So are we.\u00a0<\/strong>But here’s a picture of them on their anniversary this year in St Louis – and a beautiful surprise photo of their wedding that I had never seen!

Last Sunday was the first time\u00a0Elijah Cox,<\/strong>\u00a0who will turn 13 on Sunday, June 25, assisted me at the altar. He is so sweet with the little ones, as is\u00a0Xavier<\/strong>\u00a0who leads the energetic crucifers. The church is made up of old people like me, but also of tiny ones and everybody in between. And we all belong. We all matter. Nobody at all should be left out or set aside – regardless of age or experience.

Bishop’s Committee<\/strong>\u00a0this\u00a0Sunday, June 25<\/strong>, after Church. Everyone is welcome to stay.


On\u00a0Saturday, July 8,<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0summer picnic<\/strong>\u00a0for the southern part of the diocese will be held at St\u00a0John’s Episcopal Church<\/strong>\u00a0in Springfield from\u00a012-2 pm.\u00a0<\/strong> It will be a good time to be with other Episcopalians from his end of the diocese – Main dish meats will be provided, but everyone is invited to bring sides or dessert if possible. They would like you to register, but that’s actually easier said than done! If you do Facebook you can find the link on the Diocese of West Missouri Facebook page. If not, you can go to the website, but that registration link wasn’t working this morning -Whether you register or not, you are welcome!And\u00a0St John’s\u00a0<\/strong>has a large indoor parish hall that will be cool – so nobody has to be outdoors who isn’t comfortable in the heat.

Some REALLY good news<\/strong>\u00a0
The support group for anyone experiencing mental illness and for family members supporting them has finally begin to catch on. Dr Lori Cohen<\/strong>\u00a0has just about given up, since it seemed no one was willing to participate, despite the number of people who are suffering in our area. In fact, she’d asked to just take the sign down. BUT that same day two people contacted her. So it’s on! Please share this with anyone you know who could use the encouragement and support you know Lori could give – both as a compassionate doctor and as a person who lives with a diagnosis herself.

Last Sunday, June 18, we specifically anointed and prayed for healing for two persons – for the baby that\u00a0Lexi Walker\u00a0<\/strong>is carrying, and for the complete healing of\u00a0Bettyann Reed<\/strong>. I ask you to continue to pray for\u00a0Rocky and Lexi.\u00a0<\/strong>The first ultrasounds were not clear and the request for the emergency\/intensive one was apparently not received by CMH – and now has been scheduled for July 6. That’s been several weeks of anxiety waiting to see whether baby Aviana will be healthy or need surgery immediately after birth. And it has been nothing sort of a real miracle that\u00a0Bettyann<\/strong>\u00a0survived that leaking abdominal aneurysm and multiple infections and the very long surgery; doctors did not expect her to survive. But she did. And she’s HOME again after three long months, and doing well – day by day getting stronger. You may know that Bettyann’s parents were among the first five families who started St Alban’s.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
