Looking ahead to the week -an invitation to celebrate

A beautiful photo – taken sometime ago by the Communications director for the Diocese – Gary Allman. It was used in yesterday’s post from the Diocese – you can read it on our Facebook page.

The Week Ahead

We will celebrate All Hallow’s Eve/ Halloween AND All Saint Day (November 1) on Sunday, October 31.
Children are welcome to wear costumes if they wish –
The liturgy will be festive – with more hymns, white-ribboned crosses for the children to carry in procession (including tiny ones for Will and RB), and prayers to celebrate the lives of all our loved ones who have died –
After church there will be a simple lunch (everything pre-packaged) as well as special treats for the children –
We will have croquet and other games set up outdoors – plus pumpkin-carving and fall leaf candle making indoors for all ages.

Do come and enjoy the day with us!

Fall Sports on the Wane Xavier, Eleanor and Elijah are all finishing soccer and cross-country. It’s been a long season for all of them. We honor them, and Olivia, who is a cheerleader and already working on routines for basketball season. Healthy bodies are also part of human whole-ness, holiness, a discipline that strengthens and prepares us to serve others in Christ’s name.
