 The Springfield NWS has extended the Winter Weather Advisory until MidnightSnow and freezing drizzle continue to fall, and although main roads will likely be fine in our area, side roads and parking lots will not be. Our parking lot, especially, is very quick to freeze over, and will be dangerous with invisible black ice on top of the blacktop. Temperatures will remain in the teens and there will be no sun to melt the ice until noon -I hate to cancel church – again – but none of us can afford to risk a fall. Stay home and stay warm. Prayer Request I have already posted this to the St Albans’ Facebook page, but please pray for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing hostage crisis at Congregation Beth Israel in north Texas. Jews continue to experience sometimes violent hatred in our country. And pray for Muslims who will be targeted next because of the religion of the hostage taker. And for Asians in NYC who continue to experience anti-Asian hatred since the beginning of the COVID pandemic -A 40 yr old woman was pushed to her death in front of an oncoming train in the subway today – by someone she did not know – who has been arrested. |
