 St Alban’s Episcopal Church Bolivar, Missouri Monday, July 25, 2022 Diocesan Picnic coming this Saturday  Southern Deanery picnic next Saturday As you probably know, the three deaneries inn West Missouri have planned picnics for each geographical area (deanery).Last Saturday 120 people showed up at St Anne’s in the central area despite the 101 degree temperatures!Most people seem to have eaten indoors – but the inflated waterslide attracted a whole lot of attention and use as well! Southern Deanery Picnic will be held at St Matthews in Ozark, from 4-6 pm THIS Saturday, July 30.Address is 1932 E Highway 14, Ozark, MO 65721 (St Matthews meeting in a Presbyterian Church – don’t be put off by that – you”ll be in the right place!) Hotdogs, hamburgers and condiments will be provided by the deanery – but those who attend are invited to bring sides and desserts as you are able.Church buildings will be open for use for anyone who wants the air-conditioned space -or in case of rain – Bishop Diane will be there – and if you have not met her, that is as good as reason as any to come. She is a remarkable human being. St Alban’s is in the southern deanery, which includes a huge area from West Plains to Camdenton and Lebanon, Clinton to Springfield, Monett, Joplin, and Carthage, to Noel and Ozark, and others.Our temperature will be cooler this Saturday than their picnic day was: about 85 degrees, so we should have an even better turnout!
