Maundy Thursday – 6 pm
Eucharist with foot washing, simple supper, stripping the altar, darkness. This is powerful, especially for children.

John 13:1-17, 31-35 “…And during supper, Jesus… got up from the table, took off his outer robe and tied a towel around himself. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was tied around him. …”
“...Do you know what I have done to you? You call me teacher and Lord – and you are right, for that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet...”
“I give you a new commandment, that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, you should also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1 Corinthians 11:23-26
I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a load of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.
