So Sorry! Wrong readings!

An Apology
You might not even have noticed, but you surely would by tomorrow! I got busy working ahead, trying to get bulletins and newsletters done a couple of weeks ahead, and accidentally put in NEXT Sunday’s readings, images, and reflection about preaching in the newsletter yesterday. I’m sorry.

Tomorrow’s Gospel is far shorter and far easier to preach, especially this week, assuming we are all paying attention to the news.

Matthew 10:40-42
Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and whoever welcomes a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive the reward of righteousness; and whoever gives even a cup of water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple – truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”
The part about preaching is important anyway – but you might want to hold on to it, and think about it more next week!

Recycling Reminder
You can bring your plastic, paper, aluminum and tin, cardboard and glass here – It will be taken to Springfield every Wednesday. Bins and paper bags (she likes that option, too, because the bags can be dumped and then recycled themselves) are in the parish hall and already being used!
Please FLATTEN cardboard and RINSE plastic and aluminum containers.
