 St Alban’s Episcopal Church Bolivar, Missouri Tuesday, August 15, 2023 Who is included? Who isn’t? part 1 Isaiah 56:1, 6-8 Psalm 67, Romans 11:1-2, 29-32 Matthew 15:21-28  Who needs coffee hour? These guys do. Maybe you do, too. Since we all live so far apart, it really does matter to spend a few minutes together just talking. No agenda. No plan. No pressure, just friendship. The better we know each other, the stronger our bonds. Vey few of us ever see one another during the week. It’s harder to know each others’ needs and joy and hard times if we don’t, and easy to forget that we are members of one body. Try to stay when you can, even if its just for a few minutes. Thanks to Paula Shepard who brought pound cake, strawberries and whipped cream last Sunday! And thanks also to Dan Rocha for bringing four kinds of peppers from his garden. They all found homes. If your garden is overproducing anything, bring it to share – Someone will want it for sure!  Psalm 67 May God be merciful to us and bless us, show us the light of his countenance and come to us. Let your ways be known upon earth, your saving health among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide all the nations upon earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. The earth has brought forth her increase; may God, our own God, give us his blessing. May God give us his blessing, and may all the ends of the earth stand in awe of him.  |
