 St Alban’s Episcopal Church Bolivar, Missouri Friday, April 8, 2022 Garden Day tomorrow and Marking all the baby trees  Palm Sunday/Passion Sunday When you arrive this Sunday, you will be invited to gather outdoors and process into the church building with your palms and singing the traditional hymn – “All Glory Laud and Honor to Thee, Redeemer, King” A funny story about our palms. I ordered – from the same company, enough palms for our service and for decorating, and a new paschal candle. What we received was – two paschal candles And no palms. Fortunately Christ Church in Springfield ordered lots, being large, so they came to our rescue and gave me enough for Sunday’s worship!  Garden DayGardeners are invited to join Stephen and Ryan tomorrow morning, beginning about 9:00. Later, Elijah and I and any other volunteers will tie orange plastic ribbon around every one of the little trees to prevent anyone from stepping on them – or mowing them down! The grass will grow faster than the trees, obviously – so we want to protect them as we are able. We could use some help If anyone has a couple of hours a week to help keep the website updated, Becca would be glad to teach you how to manage the page. It isn’t hard, apparently, but it is time-consuming to get everything on it and to add newsletters, sermons, and events so that it is always current. I urge you to go check out our Facebook page if you don’t see it regularly. Among other things, Bishop Diane posts pictures and reports every time she visits one of our congregations. It is so good to be able to see all these churches – many of which most of us have never visited! |
